It is once again their pleasure to serve you.

The Chick-fil-A restaurant at 294 Harbison Blvd. reopened March 2, according to posts on its Facebook page. The restaurant is located across Harbison Boulevard from the Columbiana Centre mall, just west of Interstate 26.

The Harbison Chick-fil-A has been closed for nearly a year as it underwent a complete remodeling project. It shuttered last May, and the restaurant building formerly on the property was completely demolished. A bigger Chick-fil-A was then built back on the property. The new one is 4,345 square feet, according to city of Columbia planning documents, whereas the old version was about 3,800 square feet.

The new Chick-fil-A is set back farther from Harbison Boulevard than the previous version, and it has a new multi-lane drive-thru.

The Harbison restaurant noted on its social media that it is hiring, and those interested can text 114X001 to 31063 to apply.

The Harbison Boulevard corridor near Irmo has remained one of the Columbia area’s enduring retail and restaurant districts and typically bustles with traffic. S.C. Department of Transportation traffic count data indicates more than 28,000 cars per day travel down the corridor near the Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A has continued to make moves and improvements to its restaurants in the Midlands.

For instance, the restaurant at 2299 Augusta Road currently is closed as it undergoes an extensive remodeling. And last summer, Chick-fil-A closed the store on Decker Boulevard and moved it to 7515 Two Notch Road, just north of Interstate 20.
