‘We’re back’: A Midlands Chick-fil-A has reopened after being closed for renovations
It’s chicken sandwich time once again, West Columbia.
The Chick-fil-A restaurant at 2299 Augusta Road in West Columbia reopened Tuesday after being closed nearly three months for remodeling. The store is located at the intersection of Augusta Road and Dreher Road, across the road from a shopping center that includes a Hobby Lobby and many other businesses.
“Have you heard,” the West Columbia Chick-fil-A posted in Tuesday stories on its Instagram and Facebook pages. “We’re back! It’s a great day at Chick-fil-A West Columbia!”
The posts showed off improvements to the restaurant’s interior and its new drive-thru lanes.
The West Columbia Chick-fil-A had been closed since Feb. 10 for the renovations. The restaurant is in a high-traffic area, with more than 36,000 cars per day passing down that stretch of Augusta Road, per state Department of Transportation data.
This is the second Columbia-area Chick-fil-A recently to reopen after extensive work. The unit at 294 Harbison Blvd., which had been torn down in 2022, was rebuilt and reopened in March.
There are more than a dozen Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Midlands area.
