A popular Lake Murray area market that closed is set to reopen with new name, new owners
A popular market concept will live on near Lake Murray.
Roxanne’s Market will open Saturday, July 1, at 2900 Dreher Shoals Road near Irmo, according to a post on Roxanne’s Facebook page. That’s in the same spot that used to be Fusco’s Market, which closed in May after several years.
Fusco’s offered a host of prepared meals and foods in its market, including salads, dips, casseroles, side dishes and more. The Facebook post from Roxanne’s market indicated that it will have similar offerings.
“We are SO EXCITED to announce that we will be keeping the market alive, just under a new name!” the Roxanne’s post said. “We know we have tremendous shoes to fill, as Fusco’s Market was well-known and loved in our local community. ... We will be offering the same amazing lunch menu items, casseroles, delicious desserts, beer/wine AND we will be adding customized salads to our menu!”
The coming market added that it will also have staff members from Fusco’s.
Meanwhile, Michael Fusco, who owned Fusco’s Market and who is a partner in the nearby Tavern on 6 restaurant, said in a post on Fusco’s Facebook page that customers will likely find familiar offerings at Roxanne’s.
“I am excited to welcome Roxanne’s Market to Irmo!” Fusco posted. “It will open July 1 in the former Fusco’s Market location and I believe that you will find many similarities between the two markets, including a variety of prepared casseroles and salads.”
