A new Columbia place for chicken wings, tenders and more sets an opening date. Here’s when
The spice has arrived, Columbia.
Spice Wing, which has restaurants in several states, is set to open a spot in Columbia at 4400 Fort Jackson Blvd. suite 600B. Opening day for the Columbia Spice Wing location will be Wednesday, Nov. 8, according to posts on the restaurant’s Instagram and Facebook pages.
The storefront that will be home to Spice Wing formerly was a Smallcakes bakery location.
“Spice Wing delivers a unique wing experience — one that tastes like a trip around the world with a variety of spices and unique flavors,” Spice Wing says on its website. “Specializing in chicken wings, and savory sides such as waffles and four different styles of fries, Spice Wing offers their customers quality, made-to-order meals, that blow their taste buds away!”
There are more than a dozen Spice Wing locations spread across a number of states, including Georgia, Tennessee, California, Texas, Florida, Arizona and Oregon.
The Spice Wing menu includes a host of chicken wings in different flavors and heat levels, as well as chicken tenders, sandwiches, chicken and waffles and more.
The Columbia Spice Wing location will debut in a high-traffic area. About 11,000 cars per day pass down that stretch of Fort Jackson Boulevard, per state Department of Transportation statistics, and about 28,000 cars per day travel down nearby Garners Ferry Road.
