Chicken Salad Chick sets grand opening for new Columbia-area shop. Here’s when it debuts
An opening date has been set for a new location of a popular restaurant chain in a bustling Midlands shopping center.
Chicken Salad Chick, which has locations across the U.S., will have a grand opening at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, for a new location at 4840 Forest Drive suite 26 at Trenholm Plaza in Forest Acres.
The company announced the coming opening in recent posts on social media. The city of Forest Acres also has touted the Feb. 27 Chicken Salad Chick opening on its social media channels.
The Trenholm Plaza Chicken Salad Chick is located in the space that formerly was occupied by BLD Diner. Chicken Salad Chick is planning a host of events for the restaurant’s opening week, and the first 100 customers on Feb. 27 will have a chance to win free chicken salad for a year.
This will be the third Chicken Salad Chick restaurant in the Columbia area. Other locations are at 5135-A Sunset Blvd. in Lexington and 252-Z Harbison Blvd. in Columbia.
Chicken Salad Chick has 300 locations nationwide. It is known, as you might expect, for its chicken salad, and the restaurant offers a host of sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, pimento cheese dishes and much more.
Trenholm Plaza continues to be one of the Columbia area’s busiest shopping centers. It features multiple grocers, including Publix and the Fresh Market, as well as a host of clothiers, restaurants and retailers. Another new restaurant, the Asian eatery CO, opened at the plaza in January.
