A new location for a restaurant that is well known for its steamed bagel sandwiches has circled an opening date in Lexington.

Sully’s Steamers, a burgeoning chain with a number of locations in the Carolinas and elsewhere, is set to open a new store at 5580 Sunset Blvd. in Lexington on Feb. 26, according to posts on its social media channels. That’s in the Kitty’s Corner shopping center, a couple doors down from a Menchie’s frozen yogurt shop.

“Day by day, we’re looking less and less like a construction zone, and more and more like a restaurant ready to open for business!,” Sully’s Steamers said in a recent Facebook post. “We will be getting in the store next week with our staff to spend the week training! Can’t wait to throw on the open sign February 26th and serve you the best sandwich, Town of Lexington, SC!”

Sully’s began in the Upstate and later spread to North Carolina and Georgia. It made its debut in the Midlands last summer when it opened a shop at 2835 Devine St. in Columbia.

The shop features a host of steamed bagel sandwiches, including the Nachos Maximus, which has turkey, cheddar, lettuce, honey mustard, parm-peppercorn and Doritos (the chips are on the sandwich), and the Hulk, which features turkey, pepperoni, salami, onions, provolone, cheddar and Italian dressing. The also have a number of breakfast steamers.

The Sully’s in Lexington will debut along a busy thoroughfare. About 35,000 cars per day pass down that stretch of Sunset Boulevard, per state Department of Transportation data. There are a host of shops, restaurants and other businesses in the area, including a Walmart, a Chick-fil-A, Ganbei Japanese restaurant, a Buffalo Wild Wings, a Peach Cobbler Factory and many others.
