Slim Chickens sets opening for new restaurant in Columbia. Check out where and when
A new chicken restaurant is getting ready to hatch in northeast Columbia.
Slim Chickens, which has locations across the U.S., is set to open a restaurant at 456 Killian Road. That’s just southwest of Interstate 77, near the Jim Hudson Lexus car dealership.
“It’s here!,” Slim Chickens Killian Road said in a recent Facebook post. “Opening day is set for Monday, May 20, in Columbia! Mark your calendar and join us for fresh, delicious chicken!”
Slim Chickens has a burgeoning profile in the Columbia area. It opened a location at 7544 Garners Ferry Road in 2022, and it opened a location in Forest Acres earlier this year. The company was founded in Arkansas and expanded across the U.S. in recent years. There are more than 200 locations nationwide, according to data site ScrapeHero.
The Slim Chickens menu has a host of offerings, including chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches, wraps, salads and more. The restaurant also touts a number of side items, such as mac and cheese, fried okra, fried pickles, fried mushrooms, ranch chips and more. It also carries sweet treats, such as milkshakes and brownies.
