You now have a new location to get what you Crave.

Crave Artisan Market, which has long had a location on Millwood Avenue in Columbia, has opened a second shop at 725 Meeting St. in West Columbia. The restaurant announced the new spot’s debut in a Wednesday Facebook post.

“We’re thrilled to announce that our second Crave location is now officially open for business! Come and get all your Crave favorites,” the restaurant said in the post. The original Crave on Millwood remains open.

The West Columbia Crave is in the spot that was formerly home to Primal Gourmet, which closed in 2022. The location is across the street and a block west from WECO Bottle and Biergarten.

The new location is open from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, the business said on social media.

Crave has been known for its sandwiches, and readers of The State named it their favorite sandwich shop in the Midlands in a 2023 poll. A popular sandwich there has been Carlisle Korean Pulled Pork, which features house-braised pulled pork, napa cabbage slaw, sriracha lime mayo, cucumbers, sesame ginger and hoisin sauce, all on a grilled sub roll.

“We wanted to expand,” co-owner Louis Williams told The State in a previous story. “We said we would love to have a couple other Craves open in the greater Columbia area. We like the idea of West Columbia, because we know that it is blossoming and is attracting more people. We’ve thought about West Columbia a lot but just hadn’t found the right location until this came along.”
