The Irmo shop will be the third Biscuitville restaurant in the Midlands, with other area locations at at 2715 Clemson Road and 7924 Garners Ferrry Road in Columbia. The chain has long been a favorite in North Carolina and Virginia, but has made a push into South Carolina in the last few years.
The first Biscuitville store opened in 1975 in Danville, Virginia, per Biscuitville’s website. By the late 1970s there were eight locations open, including in North Carolina. The company now has more than 70 locations across Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. In 2022, it opened a 78,000-square-foot distribution center in Burlington, N.C.
The menu at Biscuitville features, naturally, a number of breakfast biscuit sandwiches, as well as English muffin sandwiches, sides such as hash browns, sweets such as honey buns and more.

Additional retailers in the area include an Aldi grocery store, a Walmart, a Pizza Hut and a Starbucks, among a host of others.
About 22,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Broad River Road, per SC Department of Transportation statistics, while about 28,000 cars per day travel down nearby Dutch Fork Road.
