A popular Lake Murray restaurant will reopen after 3-month remodel. What to know
A restaurant right along the shores of Lake Murray is set to reopen after being closed for months to remodel.
Liberty Tap Room on the Lake, located at 1602 Marina Road in Irmo, with big water views of the lake, is having a grand reopening event from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, according to a post from the restaurant on Facebook. The celebration will feature live music from Drew Marler from 5 to 8 p.m.
“We can’t wait to reunite with all our amazing guests and feast on our new mouthwatering items!” the restaurant posted.
Liberty on the Lake closed on Jan. 5, announcing that it was going to undergo “extensive renovations.” The restaurant has been hosting several hiring events in recent weeks in advance of the reopening.
The menu at Liberty Tap Room features burgers and sandwiches, steaks, ribs, salads and more. The Lake Murray location is at Marina Bay, with numerous docks and plenty of boat traffic nearby.
Liberty Tap Room is owned by Charleston’s Homegrown Hospitality, which has a number of restaurant concepts. There formerly was a Liberty Tap Room location on Gervais Street in the Vista, but Homegrown closed that location in 2024 and converted it to a Taco Mundo Kitchen y Cantina. Homegrown still operates one other Liberty location in Myrtle Beach.
