A spot in Lexington known for beer and more is set to close its doors.

Lexington Tap House, located at 269 Charter Oak Road, officially announced the coming closure Thursday afternoon on Facebook. The restaurant’s post said it would be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 18 and Saturday, July 19 to give its “amazing community a chance to say farewell, share memories, and help us finish off the beer.”

The spot at 269 Charter Oak Road was previously known, for more than a decade, as Krafty Draft Beer Garden. In May it rebranded under new ownership to Lexington Tap House.

Through the years, under both monikers, the establishment has been known as a laid-back spot with a wide variety of beer and other drinks, as well as a food menu that included burgers, wraps, appetizers and more.

Lexington Tap House has been located along busy Charter Oak Road, about a mile north of Lexington High School and about a half-mile south of the Hendrix Crossing shopping center that is anchored by a Publix.

“Come raise a glass with us,” the tap house said on Facebook, referring to its final days. “Thank you for all the support you’ve shown over the years.”
