Search underway for South Carolina man who hasn’t been seen in months
A search is underway for a missing South Carolina man who hasn’t been seen for months.
David Alexander Burdett was publicly reported missing by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday. The sheriff’s office said it learned that the 32-year-old North Augusta resident was missing on Aug. 22, but he actually hasn’t been seen since June 16, according to a news release.
When he was last seen by friends, Burdett was on Dogwood Drive in North Augusta, according to the release.
Information about the long delay between his last known sighting and the time when Burdett was reported missing to law enforcement was not available.
There was no word if Burdett was alone when he was last seen. The sheriff’s office did not say if foul play was suspected in Burdett’s disappearance.
Burdett frequents areas in both South Carolina and Georgia, according to the release. He’s been known to go to Aiken and North Augusta, as well as Augusta and Columbia County, Georgia, which is on the other side of the Savannah River.
Anyone who has seen Burdett, or has information about him, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 803-642-1761, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
In the case of an emergency, always call 911.
