A popular Columbia neighborhood just got a new spot for chicken wings and more
There’s a new spot for chicken wings, salads and subs in a popular Columbia neighborhood.
Chex Grill & Wings, which has restaurants across the Carolinas, recently debuted at 2800 Rosewood Drive, as noted on the company’s Facebook page. It’s located in a well-known shopping center that is anchored by a Publix grocery store.
“Come celebrate with us and enjoy over 40 wing flavors, gourmet burgers, fresh salads, and hot oven subs,” Chex posted on social media. “Stop by today and taste the flavor Columbia has been waiting for!”
The new wing and sandwich shop was initially announced almost exactly a year ago. It takes a spot that was long empty and used to be home to Dano’s Pizza, which moved moved up the street to 3008 Rosewood Drive more than a decade ago.
There are 20 Chex Grill & Wings locations across South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee, per the store locator tool on the Chex website. They are particularly prevalent in the greater Charlotte area. Other SC locations include spots in Indian Land and Rock Hill, both along Interstate 77 heading toward Charlotte.
The menu at Chex includes, as you might imagine, a large variety of wing flavors, including masala, Cajun, garlic parmesan, and honey gold, among others. They also have Philly cheesesteaks, Buffalo chicken subs, salads, cheeseburgers, quesadillas and more.
Chex has set up shop along the heart of busy Rosewood Drive. About 24,000 cars per day travel down that stretch of Rosewood, according to state Department of Transportation data.
