A doughnut shop near Columbia plans to reopen after a brief closure. Here’s when
A Midlands spot for sweet treats plans to reopen its doors after a brief closure.
The Dear Donut, located at 728 Dewitt Drive unit E in Lugoff, announced in October that it planned to close, with its then-owners sharing on social media that they were looking to slow down and spend more time with family.
However, the doughnut spot has gotten a reprieve, as recent Facebook posts note the eatery will reopen under new owners Gee Walls and Jasmin Walls.
“We’re back, Lugoff!” the shop posted earlier this month on Facebook. “The Dear Donut officially reopens November 18th at 6AM! Stop by for your favorite fresh donuts and try our new menu featuring breakfast sandwiches, bobas, frappes, and custom coffee from American Patriot Coffee Co. Fresh. Local. Made with love.”
The Dear Donut initially opened in Lugoff on Nov. 30, 2024. Prior to that the location had been home to Mondo Donuts. It is located just east of an MUSC Health primary care office.
