Search ends for Columbia woman whose caregivers said she’d been missing for days

A search is underway for a missing South Carolina woman.
Amanda Porter was publicly reported missing by the Columbia Police Department on Tuesday. The 39-year-old has not been seen since before the weekend, police said in a news release.
Caregivers reported Porter missing Nov. 14, according to the release. It was not clear if that was the last time she had been seen.
There was no word if Porter was alone when she was last seen. Police did not say if foul play was suspected in Porter’s disappearance.
Police described Porter as a 5-foot-4, 120-pound woman with brown hair and hazel eyes. Porter was last seen wearing a blue and white striped T-shirt, blue cropped pants along with pink and white checkered sneakers, according to police.
Anyone who has seen Porter, or has information about her, is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
