A new Whataburger is opening in one of SC’s busiest retail areas. Check out when
A growing burger chain opened its latest location in South Carolina.
Whataburger, which has grown its presence in the Palmetto State in the last couple of years, opened a new store at 1114 Woodruff Road in Greenville on Dec. 10.
“The team is ready to start serving Whataburger’s bold, fresh flavors to the people of Greenville from our new location at 1114 Woodruff Road,” the location’s operating partner Akisha Jones said in a statement. “We want people to see our new restaurant as more than just a place for delicious food. We want them to treat our new location as ‘their’ place.”
The Woodruff Road location will be open 24 hours per day, 364 days per year. (It will be closed on Christmas.)
The Whataburger at 1114 Woodruff Road is on a property that formerly was home to a TGI Fridays. It is in the midst of a tremendously busy retail district near Interstate 85.
Nearby businesses include Home Depot, Academy Sports and Outdoors, the Regal Hollywood movie theater, Best Buy and Marshall’s, among many others. About 34,000 cars per day travel down Woodruff Road, per state Department of Transportation data, with more than 72,000 daily cars traveling down I-85 nearby.
Whataburger has expanded its footprint in South Carolina in the last two years, with a host of locations in the Upstate as well as at least five locations in the Midlands.
