Christmas in Columbia ties record high temperature set in 1955

It was 22 degrees warmer than the normal maximum Christmas temperature. Last year, Christmas Day saw a high temperature of 56 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Christmas Eve temperatures also tied a record high set in 2015, according to the National Weather Service.
It won’t feel like winter until Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. Above average temperatures will continue throughout the weekend, but a cold front will arrive in Columbia late Monday.
