A new spot for cool treats will soon open its doors in a busy Lexington area.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, which has locations across a number of states, will open a new restaurant on Feb. 2 at 1784 S. Lake Drive in the Red Bank area, as noted on the sweet shop’s Facebook page. The restaurant’s general manager also shared the Feb. 2 Jeremiah’s opening date on the Happenings in Red Bank community Facebook page.

The Red Bank Jeremiah’s is near a number of well-known commercial businesses, including a Walmart, a Lizard’s Thicket, and a Rush’s restaurant, among many others. It is right next door to a Jiffy Lube auto shop.

Jeremiah’s has locations in numerous states, especially across the South in places such as Florida, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and elsewhere, per a store locator tool on the company website.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice restaurants are known, as you would suspect, for their Italian ice, with more than 40 rotating flavors offered, as well as soft serve ice cream. It also offers treats that layer the Italian ice and ice cream together.

The Red Bank community in south central Lexington County continues to be a quickly growing area that is adding more residences and businesses. Almost 31,000 cars per day travel down South Lake Drive in Red Bank, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
