A small aircraft carrying two people crashed in Lexington County Friday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration confirmed.

Pilot killed in 2023 Orangeburg crash
One person was killed when a plane headed for Columbia crashed in June 2023.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a single-engine Beech Bonanza BE-35 crashed in a field about 6 miles from the Orangeburg Municipal Airport. The pilot was the only person aboard.
The aircraft had taken off from the Lowcountry Regional Airport in Walterboro and was en route to Jim Hamilton-L.B. Owens Airport, officials said.
2021 plane crash into Rosewood home
The plane, which was flying from Greenville to Columbia, struck at least one home before crashing into the backyard on Kennedy Street, causing a fire, according to the Columbia Police Department.
At least one person suffered injuries, officials said.
Saluda crash left two injured in 2024
A plane crash in Saluda County in June 2024 left two occupants injured, according to the Saluda County Sheriff’s Office.
Both were airlifted by helicopter to a hospital.
