This busy area near Columbia is getting a new fish and wings spot. Here’s where
A new spot for chicken wings and fish is on the way in a busy spot in the Midlands.
Carolina Fish & Wings restaurant is coming to 565 Spears Creek Church Road in Elgin near northeast Columbia. It will be in the Spears Creek Plaza shopping center just north of Interstate 20.
There is a banner in front of Carolina Fish & Wings announcing that it is “coming soon.” Finer details about the restaurant — including a menu and an exact opening date — have not been publicly announced. The fish and wings spot did not yet appear to have a social media page or website as of Wednesday morning.
The new wing place is coming to an increasingly busy area of the Midlands. The Spears Creek Plaza shopping strip is home to several other businesses, including the Scoop of Heaven ice cream shop, Posh Nail Spa and the EZ Liquors store. There are a number of other businesses across the street, including a Firehouse Subs, the Breakfast at Ruiz brunch spot, a Valvoline car service shop and more.
About 10,000 cars per day travel down Spears Creek Church Road near the Spears Creek Plaza, per SC Department of Transportation data, and about 55,000 cars per day traverse Interstate 20 nearby.
