There’s a new spot for Indian cuisine in a busy area of Columbia.

Silver Spoon Tavern is making its debut at 4478 Rosewood Drive, according to social media posts from the restaurant and signage at the location. There was a large banner hanging in front of the building Monday morning that read “We are open now.” Meanwhile, a Monday post from the business on Facebook indicated the restaurant is in a soft opening phase.

“Come enjoy delicious Indian food with your family & friends,” Silver Spoon Tavern said on Facebook. The post noted food at the restaurant is prepared fresh daily and will include tandoori, biryani, curries and more.

Silver Spoon will offer dine-in and takeout service. The business does not yet have bar service, the Monday social media post noted, but a full bar is coming soon.

The building at 4478 Rosewood Drive formerly was home to Alley Street Eats Asian restaurant, and, a number of years ago, Moe’s Grapevine. It’s located on a busy thoroughfare not far from Devine Street and Garners Ferry Road. That section of Rosewood Drive sees nearly 19,000 cars per day, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
