A new restaurant for fish and wings has opened near Columbia. Check out where

If you are looking for fried fish, chicken wings, burgers and more there’s a new spot for you near northeast Columbia.

Carolina Fish & Wings opened its doors recently at 565 Spears Creek Church Road unit F in Elgin. That’s in the Spears Creek Plaza shopping center located just north of Interstate 20.

The new spot for chicken, fish and other items is open daily from 10:30 a.m. to midnight, according to hours listed on its menu and on the front door. The business has dine-in and to-go service.

The menu at Carolina Fish & Wings has a host of offerings, including shrimp baskets, fried catfish, boneless whiting, hamburgers, chicken strips, chicken sandwiches and more. As for wings, the new Elgin establishment has them in several flavors, including lemon pepper, teriyaki, hot barbecue, honey barbecue and honey mustard.

Sides at Carolina Fish & Wings include fries, mac and cheese, and green beans, at the restaurant also offers deviled eggs and fresh squeezed lemonade.

Carolina Fish & Wings is an increasingly busy area of the Midlands. The Spears Creek Plaza shopping strip is home to several other businesses, including the Scoop of Heaven ice cream shop, Posh Nail Spa and the EZ Liquors store. There are a number of other businesses across the street, including a Firehouse Subs, the Breakfast at Ruiz brunch spot, a Valvoline car service facility and more.

About 16,000 cars per day travel down Spears Creek Church Road near the Spears Creek Plaza, per SC Department of Transportation data, and about 70,000 cars per day traverse Interstate 20 nearby.
