He was accused of exposing himself. Then, he escaped police custody
A Richland County man who escaped custody after being arrested on accusations that he exposed himself has been recaptured.
Akintunde Quantadus Warnock, 24, is facing charges of indecent exposure, escape, resisting arrest and shoplifting. He is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Warnock is accused of exposing himself at Palmetto Compress Apartments on 617 Devine Street on Nov. 20. He was arrested on Dec. 7 and taken to Palmetto Health Richland after complaining of chest pains, according to Lt. Curtis Wilson, spokesman for the Richland County Sheriff’s Department. Warnock, however, escaped from the hospital.
He was recaptured by the sheriff’s office on Wednesday.
