Man who broke into Richland County home, held owner at gunpoint arrested, police say
After more than a week on the run, a man accused of breaking in to a Richland County home has been arrested, according to a sheriff’s department statement.
Gabrielle Chase Watts, 35 — who was considered armed and dangerous — was arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday, according to the statement.
Watts is accused of holding a resident at gunpoint while his co-conspirators robbed a home on the 1300 block of Oakcreast Drive. The robbery, which left a resident injured after the group attacked and hit them, took place June 9.
Watts is charged with burglary, assault and battery, armed robbery and kidnapping.
