‘Armed and extremely dangerous’ fugitives wanted for attempted murder, Richland County Sheriff says

Two men, who are considered “armed and extremely dangerous,” are wanted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Amos Hosey and Harrell Williams are considered fugitives by the sheriff’s department, which is asking for help locating the men.

Hosey, 39, and Williams, 33, were involved in an altercation on July 13 in the 2800 block of English Avenue, according to the sheriff’s department.

Hosey and Williams argued with a man and both shot at him, the sheriff’s department reported.

According to the sheriff’s department, the men are “trying to flee the area.”

Both Hosey and Williams are wanted for “attempted armed robbery, attempted murder, and weapons violations,” the sheriff’s department said.

The man who they shot at was taken to an area hospital, according to the sheriff’s department. There is no word on his condition.

There is no word on Hosey and Williams’ relationship to the man they attempted to shoot, or what motivated the shooting.
