Richland County deputies called him armed and dangerous. Now, he’s behind bars
Hours after the Richland County Sheriff’s Department announced their search for two “extremely dangerous” fugitives, one of the men has been arrested, according to a sheriff’s department statement.
Amos Hosey, 39, was arrested Friday at about noon after deputies received a Crime Stoppers tip, according to the statement.
Deputies on patrol got the tip and soon spotted Hosey on Highland Forest Drive, according to the statement. They gave chase to the dangerous fugitive, arresting him without any injuries.
Hosey, along with fugitive Harrell Williams, were wanted after a July 13 shooting on English Avenue. The pair were arguing with a man when they both shot at him, according to the sheriff’s department.
Both were wanted on charges of attempted armed robbery, attempted murder and weapons violations, according to a statement.
Williams is still on the run. Deputies ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 888-CRIME-SC.
Hosey was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
