Columbia Waffle House robbed at gunpoint. Deputies looking for robber

A Columbia Waffle House was robbed at gunpoint Thursday morning, according to Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

A man entered the Waffle House at 1210 Bluff Road just before 3:30 a.m., deputies said. He pointed a handgun at the restaurants’ worker, demanded money and ran out. The robber stole $570, according to deputies.

Deputies asked for the public’s help finding the robber.

A man was shot at a gas station less than a mile away on Bluff Road the next day.
