Undercover operation leads to woman being arrested at work, SC cops say. Here’s the charge

A woman was recently arrested while at work following an undercover sting, according to the Florence Police Department.

On Jan. 14, Ping Hua Wang was charged with prostitution, police said in a news release.

Police said its special investigations unit conducted an undercover operation at the VIP Massage Parlor after receiving complaints of sexual acts being offered to customers.

Wang, an employee at the massage parlor, met with the undercover officer where sex acts were offered in exchange for money, according to the release.

Wang was booked into the Florence County Detention Center, police said. The 51-year-old woman was released Jan. 15 after posting a $1,000 bond, jail records show.

If convicted on the prostitution charge, Wang faces a maximum punishment of 30 days in jail and a $200 fine, according to South Carolina law.
