Shots were fired at gas station in Columbia and an arrest is made, SC police say

About a week after a shooting at a gas station in South Carolina left one person injured a man was arrested on multiple charges, according to the Columbia Police Department.

Chrishuan Glover, 47, was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, police said.

No bond has been set for Glover, who was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center Monday, jail records show. Information about how police connected Glover to the shooting and where he was taken into custody was not available.

The shooting happened June 17 at the Mobil gas station/convenience store in the 5900 block of North Main Street, according to police. That’s in an area of Columbia between Farrow Road and Fairfield Road.

Police said that the victim was shot in the lower body and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Further information on his condition was not available.

No other injuries were reported.

Glover and the victim knew each other, according to police. There was no word about a motive for the shooting that police called “an isolated incident.”

Following a bond hearing, the Columbia resident is scheduled to return to court on Aug. 29, Richland County judicial records show.
