Search for man after violent crime with 92-year-old victim, Columbia police say
A search is underway in South Carolina for a man wanted following a violent crime involving a 92-year-old victim at a bank, according to the Columbia Police Department.
Police asked for information from the public to help locate Jace Shacon Summers.
Summers is wanted for armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and related offenses stemming from an incident in November 2025 at the Wells Fargo bank branch on Harbison Boulevard, police said in a news release. That’s in the popular shopping and dining area that’s in the part of Columbia in Lexington County.
During the 2025 incident Summers is accused of violently robbing a 92-year-old woman, according to the release.
Information on the victim’s physical condition following the armed robbery was not available.
Summers is known to frequent both the Broad River Road area in Columbia and Orangeburg County, police said. Investigators believe Summers might be driving a gray 2015 Nissan Altima with a South Carolina license plate that reads “669BVD”, according to the release. That vehicle is registered to someone Summers knows, police said.
Anyone who knows where Summers is, or who has information about him, is asked to call police at 803-545-3500, CrimeStoppers at 888-CRIME-SC or submit an online tip.
In the case of an emergency, always call 911.
Police asked Summers to surrender immediately.
