Body found in yard of South Carolina home, cops say. Here’s how 21-year-old died
A man was shot and killed Wednesday night and there’s a search for his killer, according to South Carolina officials.
Reginald Young III, a 21-year-old Aiken resident, is the person who died, Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables said.
The shooting happened at about 5:50 p.m. at a home on Dallas Circle, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. That’s in the Shiloh Heights area of Aiken.
Deputies responding to the shooting found Young’s body in the yard, the sheriff’s office said. He had been shot at least once and died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.
No other injuries were reported.
Information about the shooter, or shooters, and if any more people were involved, was not available. There was no word about a motive for the gunfire.
No arrests were reported by the sheriff’s office, which is continuing to investigate the shooting, along with the coroner’s office. An autopsy will be performed in Newberry, according to the coroner’s office.
