A 37-year-old Michigan woman says she usually plays the Wild Time Fast Cash lottery games — but deciding to mix it up paid off big time.

While at Puritan Liquor Stop in Detroit, she told state lottery officials that she picked the Lucky 7’s Fast Cash game instead.

In doing so, the Macomb County woman won the game’s $1.7 million jackpot, according to a Feb. 23 news release.

“When I looked the ticket over and saw I’d won the jackpot, I was very excited!” she told Michigan Lottery. “It was a great feeling.”

She plans to use the money to pay off her bills before saving the rest, according to the news release.

Macomb County is part of the northern Detroit metropolitan area and borders Lake St. Clair.
