Police who recovered a Lake Oswego woman’s stolen car discovered a few surprises inside — including somebody’s wedding dress, Oregon officers reported.

The car was stolen overnight Monday, Sept. 26, and recovered the next day in downtown Lake Oswego, police reported on Twitter.

The car was found “with a wedding dress inside,” police wrote, asking anyone with information on the theft to call 503-635-0238.

Beth O’Brien told KPTV that she was happy to have her car back despite some wiring damage. She said police told her about the mystery wedding dress.

“He said, ‘There’s a wedding dress in here and a helmet, and just some odds and ends,’” O’Brien said, noting some of the items had tags, suggesting they were stolen.

Lake Oswego is a city of nearly 41,000, about 8 miles south of Portland.
