Hunter stops to buy lottery ticket on way to woods — and snags huge win in Virginia
A hunter in Virginia snagged a massive prize on his way to the woods — but it wasn’t an animal.
Michael Shull made a quick stop to buy a lottery ticket before his hunting trip. The choice won him a $105,000 jackpot, according to lottery officials in a Jan. 6 news release.
The Concord resident bought his lucky Cash 5 with EZ Match ticket at the Quik E Foods on Village Highway in Concord, according lottery officials.
Shull matched all five winning numbers in the Dec. 19 drawing, lottery officials said.
The odds of matching all five numbers for the jackpot are one in 749,398, according to the Virginia Lottery.
Concord is about 100 miles west of Richmond.
