A Michigan woman knew she had a winning ticket in hand, but she was left in “disbelief” when the prize was much larger than she assumed.

She scratched the ticket and thought she won $1,000. Then, the player took to the Michigan lottery app to “double check.”

What the app showed left her in “disbelief,” she told Michigan lottery officials. Kaylynn Totten, 47, had won $300,000.

For a final confirmation, she took her ticket back to the Hunters Paradise store where she had purchased it to have it scanned.

With her prize now claimed, the woman from Gladwin plans to buy a car and a home.

“I am still waiting for it to hit me that I won $300,000!” she told lottery officials.

Gladwin is about a 160-mile drive northwest from Detroit.
