A Michigan woman was in disbelief when she learned she won a huge jackpot on a second chance lottery game.

The 65-year-old woman was chosen randomly in a drawing for the BIG CA$H second chance game, according to a Dec. 2 news release from the Michigan Lottery.

The Oakland County woman earned entries for the giveaway when she played the games online.

Then, she got an email saying she won.

“When I saw the email from the Lottery that said I’d won a $123,884 BIG CA$H second chance jackpot, I didn’t believe it at first,” she told lottery officials.

The woman said it was both “exciting and nerve-racking” when she called the lottery office to make sure it was real.

“I could hardly sleep that night because I was in such disbelief,” she said.

The woman said she is going to use her winnings to finish some home improvements and then save the rest.

“Winning means a lot and is going to bring me some peace of mind,” she said.

Oakland County is just northwest of downtown Detroit.
