Powerball player comes forward to claim $328.5M jackpot hit in Oregon. What to know
Someone has come forward to claim the $328.5 million Powerball jackpot.
But we won’t know the person’s identity for a while.
The massive jackpot was hit during the Saturday, Jan. 18, drawing, McClatchy News reported.
It wasn’t until Jan. 22 that someone came forward to claim the prize, the Oregon Lottery said in a Jan. 24 news release.
“Because the Powerball game involves multiple states, it will take time before a winner can be announced and the prize money can be paid to the claimant,” lottery officials said in the release.
The winning ticket was sold at the Fred Meyer grocery store at 15995 SW Walker Road in Beaverton.
The winning numbers were 14, 31, 35, 64 and 69 with a Powerball of 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
Beaverton is a less than 10-mile drive southwest from Portland.
