Two Georgia lottery players tried their luck — and both won big.

The lucky winners hit the Fantasy 5 jackpot, each winning $1,064,097 after matching all five numbers in the drawing Saturday, June 28, the Georgia Lottery said.

One ticket was purchased by a Fairburn resident on the lottery’s mobile app, and the other was sold at a RaceWay station in Valdosta, the lottery said in a June 30 news release.

One winner, who chose to remain anonymous, has claimed their ticket, a lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News on July 1.

The ticket that was purchased online remains unclaimed.

The winning Fantasy 5 numbers on Saturday were 15-22-24-33-41, results show.

It capped off a week of big lottery wins across the Peach State. A Scarboro resident netted a $2 million jackpot on a King of Diamonds scratch-off game, and someone in Hephzibah won $1 million playing 50X The Money, the lottery said.

In all, lottery players won more than $40 million playing scratch-off games last week, officials said.

Winners in Georgia have 180 days to claim prizes on draw games and 90 days on instant win games, according to the lottery’s website. All winners should sign the back of their ticket.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.
