Walmart worker punched and stomped on during wild brawl in store, IN video shows
A Walmart worker was brutally attacked by a group of people in an incident caught on video in Indiana.
The group was shown ambushing Tikerra Hicks as she worked at the Walmart on Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis on Aug. 29, according to WXIN.
“I just hear, ‘There she go’ and then boom on the side of my head I feel somebody hitting me,” Hicks told the news outlet.
The brawl was recorded by Kind Butler, who told WRTV he was in the checkout aisle when he heard the commotion.
His video shows the worker being punched and stomped on as others attempted to intervene. (Warning: The linked video contains explicit language.)
“Once I saw that it was almost like a family feud type of situation, two girls, I calmed down, and that’s when I was able to bring out my camera and record the whole thing,” Butler told WRTV.
The brawl stemmed from an alleged sexual assault involving Hicks’ friend, but she told WXIN the alleged incident had “nothing to do with me.”
No arrests have been reported in either incident, WISH reported.
“I’ll be able to help them point them out because I just don’t think it was really fair for the girl working there,” Butler told WISH. “She’s working, trying to make a living, and then people coming up there and beating her up. She needs a little justice.”
In a statement to multiple outlets, including WRTV, Walmart called the brawl “unacceptable” and said police acted quickly.
Hicks told WXIN she has been suspended by Walmart.
