Did you feel it? Earthquake reported in SC town
A small earthquake was reported in South Carolina on Wednesday.
The 2.2-magnitude earthquake was reported at 8:47 a.m., local time in Pageland, a town in Chesterfield County near the South-North Carolina border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey center. The small quake lasted about 14 seconds.
At least five stations detected the quake. It’s the second earthquake reported in Pageland in the past month, and third reported in the state overall since Nov. 24.
Two people have so far reported feeling the quake. If you did, the Geological Survey wants to know.
