Live updates from Dylann Roof’s state trial in Charleston
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. The State is in Charleston giving up-to-the-minute updates on Dylann Roof’s state trial, which starts Monday.
Roof was found guilty in federal court of shooting nine black parishioners to death at Emanuel AME Church in downtown Charleston in June of 2015. He was sentenced to death in January.
Roof is expected to plead guilty to state murder charges in exchange for a sentence of life in prison.
