A 9,000 square-foot home on Kiawah Island’s Ocean Course has sold for $14.1 million, $3.4 million less than the asking price.
Located at 14 Ocean Course Drive, the six-bedroom, six bath, three half bath house sits on a 0.55-acre lot overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the marsh and Ibis Pond.
It is beside the 13th hole of the Pete Dye-designed golf course that has hosted the Ryder Cup, PGA Championships and will be the site of the 2031 PGA Championship.
“It truly feels like an oceanfront estate with total privacy and sweeping views,” listing agent Ellen Walkley of Kiawah Island Real Estate told Mansion Global, a luxury home listing site.
The house had been on the market for more than a year.
It has a shingle-style exterior, a slate roof, Dutch gambrel rooflines, copper roof turret, brick chimneys and a pool and spa. The first floor terrace is made of bluestone.
The house has French oak floors throughout, reclaimed, cypress and chestnut paneling and custom wooden ceilings.
