3 tornadoes in 4 SC counties on Tuesday confirmed so far. Here’s where they hit

Weather experts have so far confirmed that three tornadoes of varying strength touched down in four Midlands counties on Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service Columbia, as of 3:30 p.m., tornado surveys had confirmed the tornadoes.

An EF2 tornado was confirmed in Clarendon County, while an EF1 crossed through Lexington and Calhoun counties. Another EF2 crossed through Aiken and Lexington counties.

Additional surveys are ongoing and more details are expected Wednesday evening, the NWS states.

Meanwhile, there have been reports and footage of a tornado that hit Allendale County.

The American Red Cross stated earlier Wednesday that it was providing immediate assistance to about 15 families whose homes were damaged or destroyed by the Allendale storm.
