2 Clemson players in top 20 of latest NFL.com mock draft
Clemson linebacker Isaiah Simmons has already established himself as one of the top players in the 2020 NFL Draft. He solidified that with a strong showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, most notably running a 4.39 40-yard dash at 6-foot-4, 238 pounds.
But it appears as though another Tigers defender could join Simmons as a first-round pick.
Clemson cornerback A.J. Terrell is also in the top 20 of NFL.com’s latest mock draft.
Simmons is projected to go No. 8 overall to the Arizona Cardinals, while Terrell is slated to land with the Raiders with the No. 19 overall pick.
If Terrell does indeed land with the Raiders he would join former teammates Clelin Ferrell, Trayvon Mullen and Hunter Renfrow, who were all drafted by the Raiders last year.
Other Clemson players likely to get selected in the 2020 NFL draft include Tee Higgins, John Simpson, K’Von Wallace and Tanner Muse.
A USA Today seven-round mock draft projects Higgins to go to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the second round with the No. 42 overall pick.
It also has Simpson going in the fourth round to the Falcons (No. 119 overall), Wallace in the fourth round to the Dolphins (No. 141 overall), Tremayne Anchrum in the sixth round to the 49ers (No. 210 overall) Sean Pollard in the seventh round to the Cardinals (No. 222 overall) and Muse in the seventh round to the Redskins (No. 229 overall).
