Report: Connor Shaw works out for NFL team Tuesday
The New York Jets have one of the worst quarterback situations in the NFL.
So perhaps they could use a little South Carolina influence.
NFL writer Howard Balzer reported Shaw was in a group of quarterbacks that worked out for the Jets on Tuesday. New York is 5-8 and just lost starter Josh McCown to injury.
Also from CFL for JETS, WR DaVaris Daniels (CALG). Other tryouts: QBs Mike Bercovici, Connor Shaw, Joel Stave; LBs Jeff Knox, Kacy Rodgers

Shaw and the Chicago Bears parted ways in early September. He has been a free agent ever since. He worked out for the Colts and Texans since.
Shaw is the Gamecocks’ all-time winningest quarterback. Injuries have prevented him from reaching his full potential in the NFL.
In 2015 with the Cleveland Browns, he suffered a thumb injury in a preseason game, forcing him to miss the entire season.
Last year with the Chicago Bears, Shaw missed the season again after a broken leg in the preseason. He played in this year’s final two preseason games for the Bears, injuring a hamstring in the final contest.
