Stadium’s Brett McMurphy tweeted out the latest odds which had South Carolina at 80-to-1 to win the conference. Teams ahead of them included Alabama, LSU as well as SEC East division opponents in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.
USC is tied with Kentucky, Mississippi State, Missouri, Ole Miss.
In an earlier set of odds, South Carolina and Tennessee were tied.
The Gamecocks are coming off a 4-8 season and are projected to win in the 5-6 game range by Las Vegas and various predictive metrics.
USC’s only SEC East title came in 2010, and that team lost to Cam Newton’s Auburn team in Atlanta. The 2020 season is set to open on Sept. 5 against Coastal Carolina.
