Corey Miller: ‘They need star power’
Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” We’re counting down the days until kickoff. The ninth panelist is Corey Miller, former Gamecock LB and WACH Fox broadcaster:
“They have a new quarterback and a tougher schedule, and not a proven receiver outside of Pharoh (Cooper). Who knows what the defense is going to be. They have to be better under Jon Hoke, but until you see it … You ask me today, they are a .500 team with a chance of winning seven. I just don’t think they have star power. Got LSU coming in, got to go to Texas A&M, got some tough games.”
