50 Opinions, Day 48

Between now and the season-opener against North Carolina on Sept. 3, we will ask 50 people: “What do you think about the Gamecocks in 2015?” Our third panelist is Barrett Sallee, Bleacher Report SEC writer:

“You are taking a team that has a lot of the issues it had last year, uncertainty on the defensive line and a young secondary, and added a quarterback problem, an offensive line that is jumbled around and no star running back anymore. You are asking a lot for them to improve. You are kind of asking Marquavius Lewis to be Jadeveon Clowney. I don’t know if he can be, but if he can look like it at times, that’ll help everything. It’ll take pressure off the offense and pressure off the secondary. Those are two things that South Carolina really needs.”
