It’s official: LaNorris Sellers available for South Carolina vs. Missouri
After a week of speculation, including varying reports about practice participation, it’s official: South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers is available for the Gamecocks’ road matchup Saturday against the Missouri Tigers.
Sellers did not appear on Friday’s SEC availability report, meaning he’s tentatively active for Saturday’s game. He was listed as questionable on the initial report Wednesday and upgraded to probable in the Thursday update. There is still one more availability report, which releases 90 minutes before kickoff, so there is a chance for his status to change.
His availability is also not a guarantee he will start, but reports confirm that is the expectation. Sellers has only lost three games in which he’s played every snap at quarterback.
Listed as probable on the report are wide receiver Mazeo Bennett and defensive back DQ Smith. Fellow DB Judge Collier and tight end Michael Smith have been ruled out. This marks the third game Collier will miss after being sidelined in the season opener against Virginia Tech with a knee injury.
USC takes on Mizzou at 7:00 p.m. EDT Saturday.
