South Carolina continues hot recruiting streak, lands three-star WR from Georgia
After losing a commitment from WR pledge Jaiden Kelly-Murray a few weeks ago, South Carolina has reloaded with another receiver commitment.
On Thursday, On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett reported that three-star WR DJ Huggins committed to the Gamecocks over Georgia, Alabama and Kansas.
Per the 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings, the 5-foot-10, 165-pound Kennesaw, Georgia native is a Top-500 prospect in America and the No. 57 receiver.
As a junior at Harrison High last year, Huggins caught 67 passes for 1,127 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Before committing to the Gamecocks on Thursday, Huggins had official visits set for Georgia (June 5), Alabama (June 12) and South Carolina (June 19), though it’s likely he’ll drop the Georgia and Alabama visits.
Heading into its first big official visit weekend of 2026, South Carolina is on a recruiting roll. They’ve landed three commitments this week and are just a day away from hosting double-digit prospects on official visits.
